Our client is a leading engineering consultancy, specialising in delivering innovative and practical solutions across the power, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Auckland Team.

The Role

You will be involved in the design, specification, and delivery of electrical systems for a range of industrial and infrastructure projects. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with clients, manage project deliverables, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams delivering end-to-end engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document LV and HV electrical designs and specifications for industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical leadership across all project stages, from feasibility assessments and concept design to detailed engineering and commissioning support.
  • Undertake site inspections and design verification to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best-practice engineering processes.

Skills And Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (BE or equivalent).
  • 3+ years’ experience in electrical and control systems design within industrial or process industries e.g. water/wastewater treatment, dairy, food & beverage, manufacturing, or utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems (Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider experience highly regarded).
  • Proven experience with MCC design, motor control, instrumentation, and process automation.
  • Understanding of NZ electrical standards and industrial safety requirements.
  • Confident working directly with clients, contractors, and project teams in both design office and site environments.
  • CPEng or working towards professional registration (advantageous).
